snow patrol

okay, here is something i think people will like. =]

fresh of the cd presses, snow patrol releases 'eyes open'. while some of their lyrics and sounds are a bit cliche, they make it all sound a bit more genuine and more intimate than your average pop/rock band. after all, they are still considered indie even though their last release went multi platinum.

they did better back home in the UK than they did in the states with their previous release, but i have a feeling that will all change with this release. 'eyes open' has a few songs that i think will work well as radio singles. and this is good music for TV dramas and they have been getting a good amount of exposure that way (like on say, oh, greys anatomy).

like any good indie band, they are sonically creative with catchy hooks and moody lyrics.

i think my sister is going to see them in concert when they play at the vic next month. =]

if youve been watching grays anatomy, youve already heard 'somewhere a clock is ticking' off their 'final straw' album (which is good) and 'chasing cars' off 'eyes open' which was the song that brought season two to a close.

heres a couple more off 'eyes open' to try:
snow patrol - you could be happy
snow patrol - make this go on forever
