early in 2006, she entered rehab for alcoholism. in an industry that can make an illness seem glamorous or worse, trite, she talks candidly in an interview about that time in her life.
in light of that, it gives a bit of new meaning to her song, "good woman" which happens to be my top pick. her albums are generally well received by critics and fans alike. one is entirely dedicated to covers ('the covers record' duh).
