NIN: The Slip

Tuesday, May 6 by Dan Lo

For anyone interested in Nine Inch Nails material, their latest album can be [legally] downloaded for free. I listened thru some of the songs, which I'm guessing will either take a really long time to grow on me or never will. But hey, just because I don't end up liking it doesn't mean no one else will. Plus, did I mention it's free? The album is free.

So far I've taken a mild liking of Head Down.

although i can really respect what trent does sonically, a lot of his stuff sounds the same to me. and its too fatalistic for me.

NIN is really growing on me. I didn't think I'd ever like any kind of industrial but I really liked Ghosts I.

I love that Reznor released The Slip free with: "thank you for your continued and loyal support over the years - this one's on me". That's just awesome.

i've yet to knowingly listen to any NIN, but it's on my music checklist.

you know who did the whole free album online thing before trent and thom? derek! :) even tho it's not on the same scale, it should count for something...
